At playtime: takes a bottle, needs a diaper change, eats doll food, fills her diaper the way a real baby does and has hair to brush and style

Magical Mixer Baby Doll belongs to the Drinks & Wets Dolls part of our nursery, next to the rest of the drink-and-wet baby dolls.

She is made for bottle time and diaper changes, and that is the simplest way to describe her.

What Magical Mixer Baby Doll does at playtime

At playtime she takes a bottle, needs a diaper change, eats doll food, fills her diaper the way a real baby does and has hair to brush and style.

We measure a doll by playtime, not by features: realistic activities, an adorable face and a routine a toddler can run alone.

We would rather a doll be hugged flat than stay perfect on a shelf.

What comes in the set

What you open on the day it arrives:

Toy blender really works: This baby is ready for a treat. Pretend to make her a strawberry shake in a real working toy blender. Add pink powdered doll food and water into blender, then push down button to mix. (Additional powdered doll food sold separately.)
Doll eats and drinks: After you mix up her Baby Alive food, feed her with the included spoon. Then give her a few sips of water from her bottle to wash it down
She “pees” and “poops”: Magical Mixer Baby really wets and “poops” her diaper. When she eats her baby doll food and drinks her bottle, she’ll need a diaper change next. (Additional doll diapers sold separately.)
Removable outfit and comb: This adorable baby doll with hair comes in a strawberry-themed removable dress and includes a comb for brushing
For kids ages 3 and up: With this baby doll set, girls and boys will love feeding, changing, and enjoying sweet moments with their Baby Alive doll

The tag, the stars and the age mark

Today she is $34.95, which puts her in the middle part of our range.

Families have left 2,328 ratings for her and the average sits at 4.6 out of five.

She is made for 3 years and up, which is when the little pieces stop being a worry.

A toddler holds a doll differently than an older child does, so weight and softness matter more than toys with many parts.

Keeping her clean between play sessions

Keep her face and hair away from ink and food colour; those marks are the ones that stay.

Air-dry her after any water play, and nothing inside her stays damp.

What families wrote about her

Price, ratings and ages for this interactive baby doll

What makes an interactive baby doll worth the shelf space is a short list of realistic activities a toddler can run alone. Feed her, change her, put her down. That is the playtime, and the adorable face is where the joy starts. Ages matter only because of the small parts in the toys we pack with her.

Quick notes from the nursery

Measure crown to heel before ordering an outfit.
Only the grows-up and talking dolls take batteries.
A damp cloth lifts almost everything except ink.
Store her sitting up rather than squashed in a toy box.

We keep 7 other items on this shelf, and most families look at two or three before choosing.
