A pram that fits the hallway — choosing interactive baby dolls

Doll prams get bought on looks and regretted on storage. Before anything else, measure the place it will live when it is not in use.

Three numbers to check

Wheels against your floors

Hard plastic wheels are loud on wood and brilliant on carpet. The jogging frames we make have rubberised rims because they end up outdoors, on pavement, where a hard wheel chatters and wakes the whole street.

What goes in a pram besides a doll

Everything. A pram is a container first and a vehicle second, which is why our baskets are oversized and the fabric is the washable kind. Expect to find snacks, rocks and a second doll in there by the end of the week.

If a pram is going to be shared between two children, buy the one with the taller handle. Short handles cannot be grown into; tall ones can be pushed by a smaller child leaning in.

The sets we would start with

What makes an interactive baby doll worth the shelf space is a short list of realistic activities a toddler can run alone. Feed her, change her, put her down. That is the playtime, and the adorable face is where the joy starts. Ages matter only because of the small parts in the toys we pack with her.

These come from Strollers, Prams & Nursery Gear. Sort the results by price or by rating, open two shelves side by side, and explore the collections until the right set appears — all of our toys live within three clicks of here.
